CES - Rich Buchanan 7:46 1/12/07 Sling Media announced a few new devices at CES. One of these is the Sling Catcher which allows you to sling media from one tv in your house to another, or as they describe it a Slingbox in reverse.
Please describe the easiest way to create a podcast of my minister’s sermon and post online for members.?
I would like to:
Create a podcast of minister's sermon.
Preferably, minister could have a lapel microphone.
I am willing to spend ~$500-1000 for ipod, microphone, other equipment.
Speaker/Minister is not currently hooked into sound system or using a microphone.
Sound system and accessories should be easy to setup and store once a week.
Would be really cool if we had another microphone that could roam in a small room when people have questions to get those recorded as part of podcast.
Once podcast is created need an easy way to post those podcasts so that members can go download. If I could have a static url members access at the church web site that would link to a library of sermons (sorted by date and titles) that would be ideal.
I am moderately tech savvy. Examples, I have 3 ipods and use iTunes, I can setup my own router, I just setup my Slingbox last week, I generally like tinkering with technology and software products.

Can I stream content from my computer to my TV?
I know that Apple is releasing the AppleTV sometimes next month, but as far as I know, it runs off Quicktime/iTunes...which means that there is no (easy) way to switch language tracks.
I have a lot of movies and TV shows on my computer (I'm running OS X) and I'd love to be able to watch them on my TV, rather than on my monitor.
I'm also not interested in something like Windows Media Center PCs, as that is too complicated for what I want to do. I'm looking for something simple and requires minimal effort to access.
I've seen things like Slingbox but, near as I can tell, that does the opposite of what I want.
Aside from AppleTV, are there any devices out there that enable me to send media from my computer's hard drive to be viewed on my screen?
I am in Algeria and would like to watch the Cowboys/Packers game. Is this possible (free) over the internet?
I have a high-speed connection but I do not have a slingbox or direct-tv. My only link to the outside world is my internet connection. I'm a die hard Cowboys fan...Please Help!!!!

youtubers at Pixelodeon 2007
I interviewed some folks from youtube who attended the first ever Pixelodeon Video Blogging Festival, which had a session on youtube. I asked them why they came and I found their answers to be quite interesting. A common perception exists that mostly women do personal, diary type of video blogging, but I certainly have met men who do this type as evidenced by this video. What's your perception? Also, I found it very interesting to talk to people about what it was like to watch videos with other youtubers from far away. It is a different experience to watch a video by yourself, versus having a community experience. Is there an adapter for digital audio (orange) to RCA (yellow & white)?
My cable box has only component or digital audio out (orange RCA style and the black square kind), but my Slingbox AV has only RCA or S Video in. There is an S video out on the cable box, so I've got the video working but is it possible to get the audio (red/white) connected to the digital audio with an adapter or something? I don't care about the quality as I am only going to be watching it in a small window on a computer.
