Okay, so I'm cleaning my computer out of all the stuff I don't need then I'm going to Defrag it and all that good stuff for faster performance on games. Yeah Boii. Haha okay, so here is a list on the programs I don't know if it is needed or not.

Watch cable in room without outlet?
If I have a cable box in one room and want to watch it in another room that doesn't have an outlet, is there a better way of doing it other than getting a slingbox and just connecting it to an HTPC? Other than having a new outlet installed, is there a solution which just involves two boxes I can buy...one to connect to the cable box and one to connect to the TV in the other room?
The reason a new outlet is a problem is because this is an older apartment building...you need the landlord's approval for every little thing and in this case, they'd have to drill into two of the walls to run cable etc.
Like is this http://www.x10.com/products4/google/wireless_video_sender_v_orig.html a scam or this would actually work on digital cable? (I have Cablevision)
Why does my computer video skip? Video card problems?
I have a Dell XPS 420. I updated the video card to an Nvidia, I believe the Geforce 9800 GT. After installing, I didn't seem to notice any problems, but I've found myself having some computer issues that I didn't have. For example, my Presonus Firebox will loose it's connection when I am watching a video, or watching Slingbox. Or watching a video will sometimes skip, or make pop noises. Not a lot, but enough. I updated the drivers on my video card & sound card. Not sure what might be the problem? It's still a fast computer, and I love it. Just want it at it's peak. The sound card thing is really annoying too. Its hooked up firewire, so I have to disconnect & reconnect to get the sound back on.
Live streaming TV on laptop over wireless internet?
I don't have a TV.
I have a laptop with a wireless internet broadband card (WWAN) and normally, i go to the websites of NBC, Fox, etc. to watch full episodes of certain TV shows. On my cellphone, there is a service by mobiTV that lets me watch live streaming TV channels on my cellphone. Is there a similar service that will let me watch live streaming TV channels so i can watch shows from NBC, Fox, CBS, etc. as if i was tuning in with a regular TV ??
I am not asking about a TV tuner card or slingbox. For both of those, you need to have a cable/satellite TV service at home. I don't have those. I take my laptop with me to work/home and i want to be able to watch live TV channels and shows on my laptop with my wireless internet card (WWAN)
How do I get hardwired internet in my living room via wifi?
My cable modem and wifi router is located in the master bedroom and is hooked up to my DVR and slingbox. I also have a DVR in the living room that isnt wifi capable and needs a wired internet connection. It would be a huge pain to wire a cat5 cable all the way across the house. Is there a way to have like a wireless receiver that connects to a wifi network then outputs hardwired connections? Any constructive solution is appreciated. Thanks.

Im so sad he is not maintaining his website. At least he should post something so we don't worry. Just when I thought he was the brightest star in comedy, he is slipping away. I travel alot and I can't connect to slingbox very much as I would like to. So I love to see his highlights on the net. I hope he updates the website ASP.
