Any way of allowing two people to watch the same slingbox at the same time from different places?
Question by compu s: Any way of allowing two people to watch the same slingbox at the same time from different places?
Sorry, what I meant was besides at the home location. That two people can view it remotely. On their website it says only one can, but I am wondering if there is a workaround

No, I havent been able to find a way as of yet. I dont think it would work since it requires you to log in to the box from wherever you are viewing from.
If you ever figure a way, do post it.

No, Slingbox specifically prevents you from doing this.
There are several reasons – (1) The Slingbox adjusts the quality of the compressed video to accommodate the player’s connection speed. If you are using a mobile phone, it’ll convert it to a low-data rate stream, etc.
(2) The Slingbox is purposefully set to stream only a single TCP/IP connection pair between the box and your playback device (whether it be a phone or laptop). Multiple streams require multiple buffering and potentially two compression engines – which the box doesn’t have.
When your Slingbox is connected to the internet, it “logs in” the address to the Sling server. Then when you remotely try to access it, the Sling server provides the connection to pair the two devices together.
