I'm planning on moving out soon and I'm trying to cut as many corners as possibles to save money. Cable internet and phone is just to much for me, you are probably saying its only about 100.00 but the truth is I have to stick to my budget and tv is a want not a need. So I found a solution for me that would allow me to have tv at my house but not pay for it. Let me give you some background information before you get misinformed about the situation. As of today I'm living at home and pay for my own cable box (15.00) since my parents pay for the actual service for the house. I am going to continue to pay for the cable box and leave it at my parents house BUT I'm going to attach a slingbox (which allows you to watch your tv from a internet connection) to the cable box so when I do move in by myself all that I would have to pay for would be internet but would be getting tv as a bonus due to the slingbox. My question is since I'm taking my tv to my house and would be connecting the desktop tower (computer) to my tv does the slingbox back at my parents house also need to be connected to a tv or can it just be connected to a cable box to perform. I know it sounds really confusing so you might want to read this over again. Thanks for your time and have a nice day.

Why don't you just ask the people at Slingbox. I'm sure there is contact infomation for them and they would be happy to answer your question.
