Can you run slinbox software on the iPhone?
Question by Gully: Can you run slinbox software on the iPhone?
Since the Slingbox software runs in OSX, has anyone been able to run it on their iPhone?

Not unless you hack it. If you run a jailbreak application, you can install software specifically designed for your iPhone on it. However, if you run a jailbreak application, Apple has very explicitly stated that you break any warranty you have on your iPhone.
Best bet? Probably to wait for February, when iPhone software development kit (SDK) is released for third party companies to make software for the iPhone. Then you can see if a Slingbox application is made.

Maybe if you get Jailbreak, but if you update your iPhone it will make it unusable unless you revert back to the factory settings.
You’ll notice Apple has locked it down, even Flash doesn’t work.
Long story short, no – I’ve yet to find a third-party device that works with the iPhone including software or hardware like iTrip.
