Why pay more when you can buy refurb!,
I install and configure things like this EVERY day. This one was a bit different. Terribly painful if you followed their setup instructions. I bought the refurbished unit because I am cheap and why pay more for something when you do not have to?
Only missing a star because of the setup.
If you read any reviews about the initial setup then you know that it is a pain to setup with or without the CD. This unit had me restoring my router to default configurations and running up and down the stairs 5 times to my PC (software that came with it did not work with my MAC Laptop until I downloaded it from the Linksys website). I am not sure what Linksys was thinking when they figured this would be “easy”. I gave up doing it their way when it said restore the router to factory defaults.
I found better instructions on the internet than from what came on the CD or the Linsys website. Instructions that provided a default IP that you could get to the web GUI with. Worked great.
I am using this to stream from a Wireless N Linksys router and speeds are wonderful with 720P HD streaming (H.264 encoded) to a local media server (set to N ONLY). I have a separate router for non N devices. I have my DVR, TV, PS3, and Slingbox hooked up via a switch to it with no issues after configuring and statically setting the IP address for the unit.
Easy setup tips:
1. Throw away the CD.
2. Set your IP address to 192.168.1.2
3. Plug in directly to your PC.
4. Open up your web browser to http://192.168.1.225
5. login with default password of admin (no username)
6. configure for your wireless network and if necessary re-IP it with a static IP outside the range of the DHCP server so it does not interfere with other devices connected via switch otherwise DHCP with issue a conflicting IP address to your equipment on the other end of it (Software bug IMOP, but it works for remote units when IP is statically set on the bridge).
7. Pop a cold beverage of your choice and enjoy the time you saved not having to run a new cable through the walls.
Maybe they should pay me to advertise and write their manuals.

Might work better in an all linksys environment,
I ordered this refurb to see whether or not it would work out well – better than my linksys wga-600′s (which this product replaces) – and the short answer is no, it didn’t work out well. Basically it picks up the primary channel of the Wireless-N fine on my D-Link router, but the secondary channel is totally wrong. Tried it on both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequencies, tried switching the channel, tried the latest firmware, all the same stuff. It basically kills the ping time (best was 4ms right next to the router when I can get <1ms from the other side of my house) and the throughput was horrendous (best was about 512kbps). Tech support was a joke and unhelpful. It might work better in an all linksys environment – but maybe not.

Works great once you figure out the setup,
I got this wireless bridge to connect a new Sony LCD TV to the web. Seemed a better idea than running an ethernet cable all over the house. The unit comes with no setup instructions at all, except what’s on the CD. I ran the setup as described, and after a painful bit of searching the CD and the Linksys web site, thought I’d got it working. Then it was time to move it to the TV and try it out. Didn’t work.
After a bit more cursing, I just happened to notice that there was a separate setup routine posted on the Linksys site if you were using the unit with a Sony Bravia TV! My previous setup was a waste. After a bit more time and cursing, I was able to get the bridge working properly and all was well after that.
