How do I hook up a slingbox to my cable box?
Question by pimpin around the world: How do I hook up a slingbox to my cable box?
I am a college student and I want to watch some tv shows. They are not available at my college, so I will buy a slingbox. Before i buy it, i just want to make sure it will work, as it is a hefty investment. How will i be able to hook up the slingbox to my cable box without having it interfere with the viewers at home watching the cable box?

You will need a cable box dedicated to the Slingbox, and set it up where it won't cross interfere IR from the cable box the TV viewers at home will use.
