Disclaimer< I use SlimServer, the open source version of slingbox

Do you have a router at home? Have you mapped the port properly?

You will need to open the stream from a streaming music player (VLC is a good one, WMP does it too. I believe the stream name is: HTTP://:9000/stream.mp3

From a browser, the menu is at http://:9000

(Suggestion: look into DynDNS to simplify your IP address)
