I want to watch recorded T.V. that was on a DVR.?

Question by spaz: I want to watch recorded T.V. that was on a DVR.?
Ok, I know there is something called a "Slingbox". But... What I want to do is watch cable T.V. on my T.V. without installing something on my computer; which I find cool about the Slingbox but... I just want to watch recorded shows on my T.V. that are on my DVR box (I only have one and I'm just curious if there was a way of making this possible).

I'm confused here...

The DVR should be connected to your TV.

Your source for TV programming (antenna, plain old cable, cable box or satellite box) is then plugged into the input of the DVR.

You then tell the DVR to record programs.

Then you can tell the DVR to playback those programs on the TV it's connected to.

If you want to have the DVR play a recording on a second TV, you still need to connect the DVR to that TV. Most DVRs have multiple outputs, or you can use Y-cables to split the signal. However, both TVs will see the same thing from the DVR.

Slingbox is only for taking a TV signal, and throwing it over your computer network so you can watch on your computer/laptop.
