Albeit old, this is still new to me.
I notice one thing you should be doing after/before you start a triple-pound combo; Get a level once charge, then spam the attack button. Wash, rinse, repeat. this is referred to the infinite hammer combo, as you can constantly attack in one fluid motion, and when you KO a monster, you can get in 3-4 golf swings at the end of a combo, setting up a monster for the next KO, or you can DESTROY the head, like metamorph on Ian’s.

I agree with coolcat. I headlocked a Rathalos with the Alatreon lance, all the way to death. However, that would never work on high rank without heroics or something.

Sweet.
I tried to solo a low rank Rathian one time. Put her to sleep, bombed her, she got pissy, koed me and then koed my only team mate shortly after. He threw a smoke bomb at her and then bailed. I couldn’t even get a subquest before she got me again.
6:07 I like how you start your combo so that that fierce looking downward blow lines up perfectly with her head as she spins around.
