hey,
you say that for the hd setting it drops the quality of the video if im streaming xbox gameplay.. does it drop the quality of the tv, to 480i or the quality of the recorded video to 480i? like can i play the xbox in Hd 1080i and have it record my xbox’s gameplay to 480i? or does it just reduce the original gameplay to 480i and record in 480i

@gadgettts : Misleading name, “HD”. If it reduces the video quality to 480i might as well get the Dazzle or EasyCAP. WAY cheaper.
I could tell right away it wasn’t really HD. If it converts the Y/Cb/Cr into one jack it looses quality. It totally defeats the purpose. It’s like using composite.

It’s kinda cool because you can record in Wifi from far away or in remote mode, but, they said it’s A SOLUTION FOR GAMERS.
Most people here on YouTube who have Havas are very disappointed, because they just jumped onto the 149 bucks offer, thinking it recorded in HD.
Result: they realize AFTER receiving the device and trying it, that they just got scr**ed.

Well, at the time I bought it I saw nothing. It was either not written, or it was written in smaller characters then.
Now that’s weird.
Most people say they thought it recorded in HD.

You could hook it up without using the Ethernet port, but then there would be no point to using the device. You would have no way to watch the video/audio going through the Hava.

Yes it does down-scale to 480i… but it says that on the box… and in our review… and on the Monsoon website. So really, it’s only a rip-off if you don’t read/watch/ask before you buy.
Also… “GAY”? — I though we were past using that as a pejorative.

This device is a fucking rip-off, they say it is “HD”, but all this is a lie, in fact it downscales everything to 480i, which is GAY.
