I connected my slingbox perfectly fine without any problems whenever I purchased it about 6 months ago. However, as of the last 3 months anytime that I try to use the slingbox, it says that it cannot connect. I have used this slingbox on 3 different computers without any issues in the past. It is not the internet connection, cable box connection, or router. All of those are powered on and connected. Like I said, it worked perfectly fine for about 3 months, but now it simply will not connect. any idea what I can do? thanks
I am using the slingbox ID and not using the IP address..still won't connect. I unplugged everything and it still won't connect.

Check the cables. If the cables are fine then I would unplug it and reinstall.

How are you connecting to the slingbox, are you using the IP address of the remote router (that the slingbox is connected to) or the slingbox ID). I suggest that you connect using the slingbox ID as the IP of the router may of changed if it is a DHCP address.
Can you connect to the slingbox from a PC connected directly to the same router, this will determine if the problem is with the router configuration or the slingbox.
Also, do you have the router setup for port forwarding the slingbox?
What is your email address, I will email you a screen shot of my router virtual port settings, if you want, as an idea of how it should be setup.
