When we were in Nashville, we hung out with Sampson. He maintains computers for a lot of the major Country and Christian artists who live there, including Alan Jackson [1], Michael W. Smith [2], Amy Grant [3] and Mark Lowry [4]. He built a computer system for his cat. car. His setup includes a Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile PC [5], a Kyocera KR1 Mobile Router [6] and an Adesso Smartcat USB Touchpad [7]. Mainly he uses it for Gmail, but he also uses it for TV Tonic [8] for listening to podcasts, and he has it connected to his Slingbox [9] for watching TV. Don't worry! He doesn't watch stuff while he's driving! Inexplicably, he keeps a comedian in the backseat, which we assume is the source of most of his mobile entertainment. After we hung out with Sampson, we had a meetup at Geoff Smith [10]'s dueling piano bar called The Big Bang [11]. There were about 20 Geek Brief viewers, plus Matthew Ebel [12] and Mark Lowry [13]. Geoff performed Digg the Code [14] live. It was an amazing night, and we're putting all the Podsafe footage in the Junk Trunk [15] after it's encoded.
