hello, I have a slingbox-type device called a hava/monsoon platinum hd-same function as slingbox lets u stream ur own tv from remote locations. I would like to watch my tv in between classes at school, but the schools network is configured using wireless b only, not g. Would the video still be watchable? I am not looking for HD video and I don't expect that either, just video thats watchable doesn't jitter/skip etc.. at home, I have a b/g network.

I doubt it ... even wireless G might struggle.

I'd like to get a device to be able to use the cable box and DVR on one TV in my house on another TV in my house that can't connect to cable without a box.
My cable company wants to charge me a month for a box to get basic channels on that TV, but I'd rather pay 0 to own a box to be able to use all the channels and DVR recordings I pay for already.
I've seen the Slingcatcher, but that runs 0 and you need a Slingbox which is another 0, but I'm not interested in using a Slingbox at all as I have no need to watch my TV and DVR on my computer or cell phone.
Does anyone know of any alternative products or methods for doing this?
Doctor and Greaser, that's not what I'm looking for at all.
I know how to split a coaxial cable and if I was interested in running visible cables lines up and down my house I would just do that.
I also don't want to run a coaxial cable out from my cable box / DVR because that requires using more wires and you can't change the channel on the secondary TV.
The question is geared toward Slingbox/Slingcatcher alternatives so I can wirelessly use the existing cable box / DVR on the secondary TV.

I need TV, I am so deprived LOL. Anyways, I have a new 24" iMac and a 32" TV. There are 2 products I've found so far that look great. I need your help to tell me which one is better, or if there is something else that beats these 2.

I can watch it through my computer too, but then also get a SlingCatcher and watch through my TV. At home, we have a DVR player with a lot of channels.

This one looks great too, would just need to get a TV Tuner, and they have a few choices of some on the same site. I am just not sure the quality of TV I get, what channels I get, etc.
