my sister is away at university. i want a slingbox and she wants to get a sling catcher. can we watch two different shows at the same time

correct. but if you buy the pro it has a built in tuner so that wont happen.

Does this Slingbox monopolize control of the TV? In other words: If you want to watch a show via Slingbox while someone is already using the TV, will changing the channel on your computer cause a channel change on the TV?

This won’t work as a tv substitute for many different family members. you can only watch one show at a time unless your using picture in picture. But all this is more a function of how many tuners are in the cable box then how the Slingbox works.

Can multiple people watch different shows? the rest of my family wnt there own tv so i started looking at the sling box so if multiple people can watch, and watch different shows that would be great!!!
