I wanna get a Slingbox, but don't which to get?
1) I wanna connect the slingbox device to a sky box, what other devices do I need to buy ?
2) Is it possible to switch channels on my laptop without switching the host's channel?
3) Can i record tv programmes on my laptop?
4) Slingbox classic, solo or pro ... which one to buy?

4. I use slingbox classic,
1. Everything I needed came with the Slingbox, it plugs into the cable out and into the router.,
2. Who ever controls the cable box controls what everyone watches, if you can swing it get a second cable box solely for the slingbox.
3. The Laptop only plays the Sling it wont record that I know of. You can get a DVR and record that which would allow you to play it back off the DVR box.

Just bought the classic and playing with my new purchase...and was thinking if I can get better I might go for it.
Not that it is unwatchable at the moment....

The only difference is if you're watching HD (Slingbox Pro is HD compatible, while Classic is not). Other than that, both Sling the image on the host TV with the same quality. Slingbox Pro does allow you to connect more components, if that's something you want to do. Here's a link to Pro's features.

They just moved the LSU game to ESPN Classic and Comcast doesnt have Classic or ESPN360. If you have any way of sharing the game, either let me in your slingbox or espn360 (not sure how that works), I'll pay. It's 11am est, so if you can set it up I'll pay, paypal or whatever you'll take.

Dude!! just go to a sportsbar! the game will be one espn's ppv package the 2 defending national champs facing off! you get hot wings and beer for the same price you would pay to buy the game on ppv or espn360 plus you get to be around other sports fans if its a cool sportsbar people get loud
