Project 365 Day 38: A friend's friend is in town and has access to a Slingbox - which allowed us to watch the Superbowl live WITH American commercials - it just didn't start until 1:30am. I didn't even make it through the first quarter before I gave up.

I just installed slingplayer for iPhone 3g which has been isolated to wifi hotspots. I understand there is a jailbreak function that makes the phone "think" its on wifi and will thus, allow you to stream tv via slingbox over 3g. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Okay the app is available on Cydia and Icy and it is called Tricker ThreeG and is on the ModMyi repository. This app totally works really well. I have been using it for awhile. It's great for Skype as well as Sling Box and many other apps.

Just trying to figure out how it's located on the massive internet when using it remotely. Also, to be able to watch a slingbox remotely, do you have to first look at it on it's local network to allow it on your profile?
