I am not sure what an M1730 is. The slingbox lets you watch TV on your computer remotely. This autumnwave is an over the air tuner. It capters the free stations and allows you to record shows to your computer. If you are camping out in the woods and you do not have an Internet connection, this Autumnwave is probably better. If you do have an Internet connection 360K or faster, then the slingbox is a better choice because you can also get cable channels.
You can get both of them too you know.
This is like comparing apples to oranges. If you want to compare apples to apples, then you would be talking about Hava vs. Slingbox.

I own a SlingBox. I got it for my brother for Christmas. He's on the road a lot and all he has is a laptop, so I got the SlingBox so it would serve as a TV as well. He said it's worked well so far. When I watched TV on his laptop, there was a slight lag, but it played smoothly.
I think if you want to record shows, you need to get a different application. I don't think the SlingBox has the capability on its own.

Have no clue, but in the description of the thing: If it's a Application and PSP compatible then yes. Put it in your Memory Stick Folder on your PSP

i have not used the sling box, i purchased the sony location free only because i have a psp and it is compatible so i can use that where ever i go to log onto my home sky + system. it is really very good. but also about £100 more then the sling box

Ehh. I wouldn't buy it because I wouldnt need to watch tv all the time. If you like to watch tv a lot then get it.

I have a 3 monitor setup with (TripleHead2Go Analog Edition) with my pc and was wondering if I had a sling box could I set up my Xbox 360 to the play on those 3 monitors because its simply sending a signal to my pc and then my pc could then widen the screen correct?...Maybe just a pipe dream but who knows would be nice to play halo 3 on all three monitors...anybody tried this or even just dual monitors?

I just run my computer and Xbox 360 off of a 42 inch LCD widescreen; I don't need 3 monitors...
