I am able to use cam to cam everywhere except my work. The WIFI allows me to use my Laptopfor many things internet sites such as Netlix, HULA, Slingbox, ext.I am able to use yahoo messenger, but the cam never works and I can not view my friends cam either.
Could they block only the cam portion of yahoo?
The started to block sex, drugs, gambling sites, but I don't know if that is related to the cam problem.

they could be blocking it too. needless to say, you are at work and you are there to work and not to view webcams during at working hours!

ok so i was thinking of buying a slingbox. but i have one main question. do u need a wifi connection to use it. for example if im in my car in the and want to watch tv is that possible if i have no internet connection. slingcommunity.com isnt giving me any help. all the sling ads say u can get tv any where in the world so it sounds like u dont need internet connection but i doubt that is true.

You have to have internet connection. It does not have to be wifi. It can be regular old wired internet. If you're in a moving car you souldn't be watching TV anyway. If you're in a car that's not moving, you'll need a notebook computer and a mobile broadband device like Verizon sells. Technically you ***could*** get TV anywhere in the world with a slingbox, but there are several locations you would need satelite-based internet and a generator...
Seriously, dude, get a slingbox. They are awesome.

I would also like the recieving end to be a TV, not a computer. I've looked at Slingbox of course, but is there any device that will convert the TCP/IP data back to an RF or Composite or similar signal? Or at least VGA output so I could plug into a flat panel TV?

There are called media extenders. Xbox360 is one and you can also use boxes from Netgear and Linksys.
You still need a PC with a TV tuner though.

Is it possible to somehow "stream" cable TV into the studio through Wi-Fi... perhaps through Slingbox or using a Wi-Fi TV?

I am not sure if it's possible for you to stream live cable, however if you do get wifi, you can watch programs online. Works pretty much the same and Hulu has alot of great programming.

first you need to hook up the slingbox to your network.. then you need an internet connection on your ipod touch to connect to said slingbox.. so yes you do need wifi to use it on your ipod touch.

Bluetooth can transfer data at a lower rate than the data is coming from the DVD.
This makes it so you cannot do this.
*It might be possible if you wanted to do some really crazy sodering and risk "brick"ing your device.*
Sorry, but this is really not what Bluetooth was made for.
It was made for connecting to audio headsets and sending small pictures to your friends phone.

I just installed slingplayer for iPhone 3g which has been isolated to wifi hotspots. I understand there is a jailbreak function that makes the phone "think" its on wifi and will thus, allow you to stream tv via slingbox over 3g. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Okay the app is available on Cydia and Icy and it is called Tricker ThreeG and is on the ModMyi repository. This app totally works really well. I have been using it for awhile. It's great for Skype as well as Sling Box and many other apps.
