live.pirillo.com/ - Watching live television over your smart phone isn't as difficult as you might imagine: all you need is an Internet connection and the Slingbox. The Slingbox is a piece of hardware that takes you cable or satellite signal and retransmits it over the Internet, so anything that can access the Internet can also access the Slingbox. That means that your laptop, desktop, and smart phone can display what's on TV.The Slingbox optimizes the stream for your connection, so your smart phone will receive a lower resolution video than your laptop or desktop will. Their software works for OS X, Windows, and even Linux (although the Linux port is a community project and not an official Slingbox release). The bottom line: this piece of equipment is damn cool.
