What does a Slingbox do?
Is it like a DVR for your computer??
Can you really watch your cable tv if you live in California and you go to North Carolina for vacation?
I just want to know what a Slingbox is and what it does. Any information would be appreciated!

The slingbox is a really neat product. You hook it up to your cable box or satellite receiver and your home internet network. You then download a program on your computer and are able to watch your home television on your computer. If you have a dvr then you are able to use the DVR on your computer. I travel all the time and I am able to watch my local news no matter where I am. I can also watch my recorded programs while traveling.
