What is the best way for me to watch TV in my dorm room?

I need TV, I am so deprived LOL. Anyways, I have a new 24" iMac and a 32" TV. There are 2 products I've found so far that look great. I need your help to tell me which one is better, or if there is something else that beats these 2.

I can watch it through my computer too, but then also get a SlingCatcher and watch through my TV. At home, we have a DVR player with a lot of channels.

And the 2nd one is EyeTV for my iMac, so I can watch TV on my computer... http://www.eyetv.com/elgato/na/mainmenu/products/software/EyeTV3/product1.en.html

This one looks great too, would just need to get a TV Tuner, and they have a few choices of some on the same site. I am just not sure the quality of TV I get, what channels I get, etc.
