If you have a wireless internet connection, it will work. In short, you need a high speed internet connection at home where the slingbox and media (cable tv, dvd, dvr) are located and a high speed internet connection for reception. If you have both of those, you are set.
On the open road, you would need a high speed mobile connection (not wifi). Mobile phone companies like T-Mobile and Verizon have these connections but they are costly.

Contact the RV parks you will be staying at. Some will have hook-ups for all kinds of things.
My family owns 2 RV parks in two separate states. One of them is located in a fairly metro area and we offer just about everything you would need. Our second park is in the middle of nowhere and we can only offer basics (sewer, water, electricity).
Happy traveling. I envy your freedom, you’ve earned it!
