Looking for USA East cost any cable company

I am new to this. I want any USA based east cost provider fios direct tv comcast dish ime warner optimum I don't know how this works but i only watch hgtv food network vh1 mtv bet maybe a few more is it possible to just get those channels? how does this work i am a newbie. found this site in another forum. I don't see info on the site. If there is point me in the right direction or can someone explain. Thanks
