Slingbox incompatible with UK DVB-T (Freeview)

EDIT: Following a comment from gridgway below, and reading this discussion , I have changed my hypothesis from the issue being with the asterix (*) character in the channel name 5* , to it relating to the number of services within a multiplex.

So does it work? I am thinking about buying one and sending to my mother's house in the UK, but she only has freeview.
