Does Slingplayer for iPad vary by Country

I want to replace a UK Slingbox to M1 for 1080p. My Ipad is a mini4 with latest OS but my Apple Account and my hardware is US based. You say your boxes vary by region, is the Singplayer app universal or will it not work with a UK box?
