Hello! I am thinking about getting a slingbox but I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer.

1. Is purchasing a slingbox the only cost to using the service? Is there a subscription fee you have to purchase or is the box the only cost.
2. If I were to set the slingbox up at my parent's house and access their TV from my computer . . . would my parents still be able to watch TV on their television or since I am using it would they have to watch what I am watching?

Thanks!

Jeff

There is no cost for using the slingbox, you just need to connect it to the internet (the same monthly charge) and your TV

  • Internet Connection Type:Cable
  • Download Speed:35 Mbps
  • Upload Speed:1.5 Mbps
  • Slingbox Model:Classic UK (soon a SOLO/PRO-HD)
  • TV Package:VOO Cable French/Belgian TV.
About your second question, if you install a spare receiver, it will be totally free (or in analogue signal), if it's the receiver that your parents watch that you connect on your slingbox, then you have to follow the parent's program or disturb them.
